The majority of Missouri is currently experiencing drought conditions, and this has had an impact on Christmas tree farms in the state. Farmers have had to turn on irrigation systems earlier than usual to ensure that their trees receive enough water. This has led to increased costs for farmers, and they are passing some of these costs on to consumers.
Despite the drought, Christmas tree farms are still expecting to have plenty of trees available for purchase this year. However, the trees may be smaller than in years past.
Consumers are willing to pay more for Christmas trees this year, even though they may be smaller. The drought is just one of the factors that is contributing to rising prices. Inflation is also a factor, and the cost of goods across the country has increased.
Despite the challenges, Christmas tree farms are still hopeful for a good season. They are encouraging people to come out and support their local farms.
