University of Missouri Extension in Jasper County will be hosting a free class on Common Wheat Diseases and Pests, aimed at helping farmers better understand and manage the challenges they may encounter in their wheat fields.
The event will take place on December 12, 2024, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the CWEP Community Room, located at 627 W Centennial Avenue, Carthage, MO.
The class will be presented by Micah Doubledee, an Agronomy Specialist with MU Extension. The 45-minute presentation will provide valuable insights into recognizing and addressing wheat diseases and pests, equipping participants with the knowledge needed to maintain healthy crops.
Water and snacks will be provided during the event, which is open to the public at no cost. However, pre-registration is requested by December 11 at 4 p.m. to ensure there are enough seats and refreshments for everyone.
Registering in advance also allows the organizers to notify participants of any changes to the event due to weather or scheduling conflicts.
To register, visit the online registration page or contact the Jasper County Extension office at 417-358-2158. For more information or if you require any accessibility accommodations, please reach out to Micah Doubledee at the Barton County Extension Center at 417-682-3579.
