Soil Moisture Improves in Missouri, Wheat Rating Dips



Cool, wet weather dominated most of Missouri during March.

The USDA says the average temperature in Missouri was just over a degree below normal, but average precipitation was four and three quarters inches, more than two inches above usual levels.

That precipitation did improve soil moisture in parts of the state, with the driest areas in the southwestern portion of Missouri bordering Kansas.
