The 93rd Stone County Livestock and Forage Conference will be 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, at the First Baptist Church in Crane, Mo., 30 Hallelujah Ave.
“This long-running conference will continue to equip livestock producers to better manage their operations and provide quality beef products for consumers,” said University of Missouri Extension agronomy specialist Tim Schnakenberg.
“The beef market is getting very interesting considering the low inventory of breeding stock across the nation,” said MU Extension ag business specialist Wesley Tucker, who will share trends in the beef market to give producers a better look at what might be ahead.
MU Extension livestock specialist Patrick Davis will review some practical management practices when retaining calves on the farm after weaning.
