The 35th International Post Secondary Dairy Cattle Judging Contest showcased outstanding talent from colleges across the country, with SUNY Cobleskill emerging as the top team. The Cobleskill students swept the Overall Team, High Individual, Overall Reasons Team, and High Reasons Individual categories, setting the tone for the competition.

Team members Connor MacNeil, Elsie Donlick, Mason Ziemba, and Rachel Hatch, coached by Carrie Edsall, secured the victory. MacNeil was the overall top individual, with Ziemba, Donlick, and Hatch also finishing in the top ten.

Other strong contenders included Modesto Junior College, which finished second overall, and SUNY Morrisville in third. Ohio State ATI earned fourth place, followed by Michigan State Ag Tech.

In Reasons, SUNY Cobleskill dominated again, with Ziemba, MacNeil, and Donlick among the highest scoring individuals. Teams from Modesto Junior College and Ohio State ATI also placed well in this category.

Additional highlights included SUNY Cobleskill’s first-place finishes in Practical, Linear, Grade, and Registered classes, while Kansas State University topped Corrective Mating.

The contest was made possible through the support of major sponsors including Channel Seed, STgenetics, Select Sires, and Holstein Association USA.

By excelling in every major category, SUNY Cobleskill demonstrated not only student talent but also the value of dairy cattle judging programs in developing the next generation of agricultural leaders.
