The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) is offering emergency loans to Missouri producers affected by the recent Presidential disaster declaration.
This assistance is designed to help farmers recover from natural disasters, including severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and wildfires that occurred from March 14 to March 15, 2025.
Emergency loans can be used to replace essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganize farming operations, or refinance certain debts. FSA evaluates applications based on the extent of losses, available security, and the applicant’s repayment ability, ensuring support reaches those most in need.
Producers in primary counties including Bollinger, Butler, Callaway, Camden, Carter, Dunklin, Franklin, Howell, Iron, Jefferson, Madison, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Perry, Phelps, Reynolds, Ripley, St. Louis, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard, Wayne, Webster, and Wright are eligible.
Contiguous counties such as Audrain, Benton, Boone, Cape Girardeau, Christian, Cole, Crawford, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Gasconade, Greene, Hickory, Laclede, Maries, Miller, Mississippi, Montgomery, Morgan, Osage, Pemiscot, Pulaski, St. Charles, Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois, Taney, Texas, Warren, Washington, and St. Louis also qualify.
Applications for emergency loans must be submitted by January 21, 2026.
