For more than four decades, the Three-State Beef Conference has been a key event for beef cattle producers in Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska, offering annual updates on cow-calf and stocker management topics relevant to the region.
The 2026 conference will take place on January 13 in Maryville, Missouri; January 14 in Greenfield, Iowa; and January 15 in Lincoln, Nebraska, according to Amie Schleicher, University of Missouri Extension livestock specialist. The event will feature presentations from experts at three leading land-grant universities, along with other industry professionals.
Speakers include Craig Payne, director of Veterinary Extension and Continuing Education at the University of Missouri; Yijie Xiong, assistant professor and precision livestock management specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and Elliott Dennis, associate professor and livestock meat economist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Conference sessions will cover a range of timely topics, including emerging parasitic threats to cattle, innovative technologies for beef production, and trends in the global meat market and their impact on cattle supply.
Registration for the January 13 event is $30 per attendee and includes dinner. More information and registration details are available through the University of Missouri Extension. For questions, participants can contact Amie Schleicher at 660-744-6231 or via email at schleichera@missouri.edu.
