The Missouri Grape Growers Association (MGGA) will host their annual meeting on June 21 at the University of Missouri's Bradford Research farm. The meeting will focus on resources available to both growers and vintners. MGGA will host a variety of featured speakers from the University Grape and Wine Institute (GWI), The Viticulture & Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA), and Missouri Department of Agriculture Wine & Grape Board. Attendants will meet and mingle with GWI faculty and staff from presenting organizations. The day will conclude with a vineyard tour at the new experimental vineyards planted nearby.
The Missouri Grape Growers Association is a non-profit agricultural organization dedicated to uniting growers and providing an open forum to exchange ideas. The purpose of the Missouri Grape Growers Association is to 1) educate and share information developed from new research; 2) recommend and encourage research to solve viticulture problems; 3) promote Midwest grape varieties; 4) advocate on behalf of the grape and wine industry; and 5) bring value to members through strategic partnerships and communication forums.
