The Missouri Sheep Producers Annual Conference will be held on November 23, 2024, at Lincoln University’s Carver Farm in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Running from 8:30 PM to 2 AM IST, the conference aims to promote and support the development of Missouri's sheep industry.
This event, organized by the Missouri Sheep Producers Association, brings together experts, producers, and enthusiasts to discuss key issues and advancements within the sector.
The association offers a variety of programs aimed at enhancing the industry, such as the Missouri Sheep Producers Member Directory, incentives for 4-H and FFA sheep projects, and educational programs for producers.
Additional initiatives include promoting lamb and wool products, the Midwest Stud Ram Sale, and youth scholarships. The association also sponsors the FFA Sheep Speaking Contest, encouraging youth engagement and leadership in sheep farming.
Members of the Missouri Sheep Producers Association enjoy a range of benefits, including access to the quarterly newsletter, a listing in the MSP Directory, and membership in the American Sheep Industry (ASI).
They also have opportunities to participate in both state and local programs, gaining valuable networking connections with other sheep producers. Through these efforts, the conference and association play a pivotal role in advancing Missouri's sheep industry.
