University of Missouri Extension offers a three-part Zoom webinar on lawn care in March.
The three sessions – 6-7 p.m. March 9, 16 and 23 – will offer science-based information to help homeowners manage their lawns, says MU Extension horticulturist Manoj Chhetri.
Each session offers information to help identify and resolve cultural and pest management issues for lawns in Missouri, says Chhetri.
The target audience for this program includes homeowners with some experience with lawns, public grounds managers, landscapers and garden center operators.
The session on March 9 gives cool-season lawn owners information on irrigation, weed control and pest management.
The March 16 session focuses on warm-season lawns. Topics include establishment, conversion from cool-season to warm-season lawns and pest management.
The March 23 session emphasizes an organic lawn care program, including low-input turfgrass selection, organic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides.
