Corn harvested for grain reached 75 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 73 percent. Soybeans harvested reached 61 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 42 percent. Cotton harvested reached 67 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 50 percent. Rice harvested reached 93 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 90 percent. Winter wheat planted reached 50 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 43 percent. Winter wheat emerged reached 16 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 22 percent.

The favorable weather conditions have helped farmers to make good progress on harvest. However, the dry conditions are starting to have an impact on some crops, particularly winter wheat. Farmers are hoping for some rain in the coming weeks to help improve soil moisture conditions.
