Missouri Row Crop Harvests Reaching their Ends



There were 4.9 days suitable for fieldwork during the week ending Sunday. Temperatures last week averaged 47.6 degrees, 2.3 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 0.39 inches, 0.33 inches below normal. Topsoil moisture supply rated 8 percent very short, 32 percent short, and 60 percent adequate. Subsoil moisture supply rated 15 percent very short, 42 percent short, and 43 percent adequate.

Corn harvested was 94 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 91 percent.

Soybeans harvested was 92 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 80 percent.

Cotton harvested was 93 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 84 percent.

Winter wheat planted was 93 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 81 percent. Winter wheat emerged was 72 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 63. Winter wheat condition rated 1 percent very poor, 11 percent poor, 34 percent fair, 51 percent good, and 3 percent excellent.
