MO farm bureau fights hunger in Missouri

By Blake Jackson

The Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Company (MOFBI) is holding its annual hunger relief campaign throughout April, aiming to combat the significant issue of food insecurity within the state.

According to MOFBI, a staggering number of Missourians currently face hunger, highlighting the urgent need for community support. The campaign emphasizes that any contribution, large or small, can make a positive impact. A mere $25 donation can provide up to 100 meals to food insecure individuals and families.

MOFBI encourages donations of canned goods, rice, beans, and other non-perishable food items at any MOFBI office across the state. Alternatively, monetary contributions can be made quickly and conveniently by texting "MOFB2024" to 44-321.

This annual initiative plays a vital role in supporting Missouri families facing food insecurity. The 2023 campaign's success, collecting nearly 4.4 tons of food and exceeding $16,100 in donations, serves as a testament to the compassion and generosity of Missouri communities. MOFBI is urging residents to once again join them in this critical effort to ensure no Missourian goes hungry.
