MO soybeans and Beck team up for high oleic boom

MO soybeans and Beck team up for high oleic boom

By Blake Jackson

The Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council and Beck's, a leader in diverse genetics and premium opportunities, have joined forces in a strategic licensing agreement for SOYLEIC® soybeans. This collaboration is poised to unlock new markets and empower farmers to reap the benefits of this cutting-edge technology.

Beck's extensive reach in the high oleic (HO) industry makes them a perfect partner to accelerate SOYLEIC® adoption. Their expertise in evaluation, trials, and generating farmer interest will be instrumental in expanding the footprint of HO cultivation.

"This partnership with Beck's is a major step forward in bringing SOYLEIC® to more U.S. soybean farmers," says Bryan Stobaugh, Missouri Soybeans' director of licensing and commercialization. "Their unique approach and network will be crucial in maximizing the reach of our technology."

This collaboration is about more than just technology. It's about empowering farmers. By making SOYLEIC® soybeans readily available, farmers can leverage checkoff-funded research directly in their fields, potentially earning premiums for their harvests.

"We're thrilled to offer farmers the most diverse soybean options in the industry," says Scott Beck, president of Beck's. "With SOYLEIC®, they can access premium opportunities and meet growing market demands."

This strategic partnership isn't just good for farmers, it's good for the future of agriculture. By working together, Missouri Soybeans and Beck's are committed to advancing sustainable practices, fostering growth, and ensuring a brighter future for soybean farmers across the country.

With Beck's on board, SOYLEIC® soybeans are now commercially available in over 20 states, with more to come. The future of high oleic soybeans looks bright, thanks to this exciting collaboration.
