“Our success in expanding homeownership opportunities in rural communities is possible because of the strong relationships we’ve built with our lending partners,” said Deputy Under Secretary for Rural Development Todd Lindsey. “The National Lenders of the Year Awards recognize the essential role lenders play in advancing the Rural Housing Service’s mission to help families achieve the dream of homeownership.”
With a workforce of more than 225 employees, Neighbors Bank has earned several national workplace awards. Founded in Clarence, Missouri, the bank has grown from a small local branch to a national mortgage and banking provider.
“Our vision is to make homebuying affordable, accessible, and achievable,” said CEO Melissa McNutt. “The USDA program plays a vital role in helping us bring that vision to life by opening the door to homeownership for families in rural communities across the country.
