Southwest Missouri Farmers Conference Set for August 27

Southwest Missouri Farmers Conference Set for August 27

By Blake Jackson

The 2026 Southwest Farmers & Producers Conference will take place on August 27, 2026, at the DARR Agricultural Center in Springfield, Missouri, bringing together farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals for a day of practical, research-based learning.

Organized to provide accessible agricultural education for producers across Missouri, the conference is part of a statewide series that also includes events in Sikeston and Kansas City.

This year’s theme, “Regenerative Agriculture and Soil Health,” will focus on strategies that help farmers improve productivity while maintaining long-term sustainability.

Attendees will explore topics such as soil fertility management, soil health improvement practices, principles of regenerative agriculture, and the relationship between plants and soil.

Experts will also discuss opportunities available through programs offered by SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

The event will feature presentations from agricultural specialists, educational resources, vendor exhibits, networking opportunities, and farm-focused door prizes.

Participants will have the chance to connect with industry professionals and fellow producers while gaining valuable information that can be applied directly to their operations.

The conference is free to attend and includes lunch and refreshments. Organizers will also provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities or special needs.

For additional information, producers may contact Dr. Touria Eaton at EatonT@LincolnU.edu. Registration is required for attendance.
