The Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) has appointed TaylorAnn Washburn as its new director of marketing and commodities.
“TaylorAnn truly understands Missouri’s agriculture industry and the opportunities and challenges our members face,” said MOFB President Garrett Hawkins. “That knowledge, along with the vast connections she’s developed throughout her career, will benefit our members across the state.”
Washburn brings extensive experience in agricultural business and policy. Washburn recently served as program director for the University of Missouri Extension’s agricultural business and policy group, where Washburn provided guidance on farm management and marketing to producers and value-added agriculture entrepreneurs.
Washburn career also includes work with agricultural companies, state agencies such as the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Wine and Grape Board, and Brownfield Ag News.
“I look forward to serving Missouri’s farmers, ranchers and rural communities alongside MOFB staff as we amplify the voice of our members and seek solutions to the challenges they face,” Washburn said. “My experience in Missouri agriculture and enthusiasm for working with producers will help me be a strong resource and advocate for our members.”
A native of Harrison County, Missouri, Washburn was raised on a diversified farm and actively participated in both 4-H and FFA. Washburn holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s degree from Texas Tech University.
