MOFB Commodity Conference Highlights Power of Agriculture
Missouri Ag Connection - 09/18/2023

Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) hosts a number of events throughout August to highlight the power of Missouri agriculture. One of the most notable events is the annual MOFB Commodity Conference, which brings together producers from all over the state to discuss the issues impacting their decisions on a daily basis.

This year's conference featured speakers who covered a wide range of topics, including global shipping disruptions and the Biden administration's climate agenda. Participants left the conference with a wealth of new knowledge and contacts statewide.

The conference also served as an opportunity to witness the grassroots nature of MOFB. Each year, members come together to present ideas, discuss issues, and vote on policies that impact agriculture and their communities. This tradition dates to the organization's founding in 1915, when just 300 farmers attended the first meeting. Today, MOFB has over 150,000 members.

MOFB was founded on a mission to serve farmers and ranchers, and the organization remains focused on growing its impact from the grassroots so that it can continue to advocate for agriculture, the rural way of life, and all Missourians.

I invite you to join the grassroots conversation by attending a county meeting, the state conference, or one of the many other activities that MOFB hosts throughout the year.
