Missouri farmers, organizations, and researchers can now apply for grants to enhance their specialty crops! The Missouri Department of Agriculture's Specialty Crop Block Grant Program supports projects that:
- Expand markets: Reach new customers locally, regionally, or even internationally.
- Improve distribution: Develop efficient ways to get your specialty crops to consumers.
- Drive innovation: Fund education, research, marketing, and food safety initiatives.
- Combat challenges: Find solutions for pests, diseases, and other crop-specific hurdles.
- Eligible crops: Fruits, vegetables, dried fruit, tree nuts, honey, and horticultural/nursery crops (including flowers).
Apply by March 26th, 3 PM! Visit the Missouri Department of Agriculture website for details and application instructions. Selected projects will be included in the state plan for federal approval.
