Trump administration has announced additional nominees for key positions within the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The selected individuals bring a wealth of experience and leadership in agriculture, business, and government.
Richard Fordyce has been nominated as the USDA Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation. Fordyce, a fourth-generation farmer, previously served as the Administrator of the Farm Service Agency during Trump’s first term. He is currently the Director of Agricultural Business for Osborn Barr Paramore (OBP). President-elect Trump praised Fordyce for his extensive experience and dedication, highlighting his leadership in agriculture at the local, state, and national levels. Fordyce and his wife run a Missouri-based farm that produces soybeans, corn, and cattle.
Luke Lindberg has been nominated as the USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs. Lindberg is the current CEO of South Dakota Trade and has a distinguished background in international trade, having served as Chief of Staff and Chief Strategy Officer at the Export-Import Bank. With a strong focus on securing beneficial trade deals for American farmers, Lindberg is well-equipped to advocate for U.S. agricultural interests globally.
Dudley Hoskins has been named as Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs. Hoskins, a seasoned leader with experience at USDA and the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, will oversee marketing and regulatory functions at the department. He previously served as Chief of Staff for the USDA’s Marketing and Regulatory Programs.
Michael Boren has been nominated as the USDA Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment. A successful entrepreneur and community volunteer, Boren will focus on improving forest management and environmental practices to address urgent natural resource challenges.
All nominees will work alongside Secretary of Agriculture nominee Brooke Rollins, whose Senate confirmation hearing is scheduled for next Thursday. These appointments aim to strengthen the USDA’s ability to support farmers, ranchers, and agricultural industries across the nation.
