Calling all Missouri women involved in agriculture! The Northeast Missouri Women in Agriculture event is here to equip you with valuable knowledge and skills to enhance your gardens, forests, and farms. This informative day takes place on November 8th at Wildflower Grove in Green Castle (1119 Front St.).
Learn from the Experts:
- Disaster Preparedness: Get ready for anything with practical tips from MU Extension community development specialist Darla Campbell. Learn how to plan for and survive natural disasters and protect your property.
- Gardening Efficiency: University of Missouri Extension horticulturist Jennifer Schutter will share clever techniques to make garden work easier and more enjoyable.
- Farm Safety: Stay safe on the farm with the latest safety updates delivered by MU Extension agronomy specialist Valerie Tate.
- Cattle Management: For cattle producers, MU Extension livestock specialist Zac Erwin will provide valuable insights on pasture management and herd nutrition.
Forestry and Conservation: Missouri Department of Conservation resource forester Yvette Amerman will delve into the world of tree roots.
Additionally, a district conservationist from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will discuss available programs and services offered by NRCS, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and the Farm Service Agency.
After a day of learning, unwind with a hands-on floral arrangement workshop. Participants will create a beautiful floral centerpiece to take home.
