The Missouri Corn Growers Association and Missouri Corn Merchandising Council are continuing their tradition of supporting agricultural education with the 2025 Missouri Corn Scholarship Program.
This year, seven deserving students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship is open to high school seniors and college juniors pursuing degrees in agriculture.
“Missouri Corn is proud to invest in our outstanding young leaders and the future of our industry,” said Greg Bertz, Missouri Corn Scholarship Chair from Mayview, Mo. “We are in a dynamic, ever-evolving industry and need bright minds to continue advancing in both corn production and the larger agriculture community.”
Applications for the 2025 scholarships are now available online through the Missouri Corn website at www.mocorn.orgn under the Resources tab.
This year, all applications must be submitted online. To be eligible, students must submit an application, an official high school or college transcript, and at least one letter of recommendation by February 14, 2025.
High school seniors must be Missouri residents from a Missouri farm or rural area. They must plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university with a focus on agriculture. Scholarship funds will be used for their freshman year of college.
College applicants must also be Missouri residents from a farm or rural area, currently juniors in a four-year college or university, and majoring in an agriculture-related field. Scholarship funds will assist with their senior year expenses.
The Missouri Corn Scholarship Committee will review all applications, and recipients will be notified by mail on or before April 15, 2025. For more information on Missouri Corn programs, visit www.mocorn.org.
