Producers in northwestern Missouri are invited to join the Northwest Missouri Soybean Walk, where they can gain valuable crop updates and insights from University of Missouri Extension specialists. The event will take place on August 8, featuring informative sessions on various aspects of soybean farming.
MU Extension plant pathologist Mandy Bish will present the findings from on-farm soybean strip trials and provide valuable information on disease identification. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge about soybean diseases and effective management strategies.
Additionally, agronomist Wayne Flanary will lead the soybean walk and share his expertise on insect identification. Understanding insect pests and their impact on soybean crops is essential for effective pest management and crop protection.
The event will commence at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, at the Ferguson site, located at 6545 Pickett Road, St. Joseph. Registration is encouraged, although not mandatory. For inquiries and registration, participants can email Wayne Flanary at flanaryw@missouri.edu.
Water will be provided during the event to ensure attendees' comfort and hydration.
