The University of Missouri Extension and Missouri 4-H are pleased to announce a Crops Field Day for youth interested in agriculture and plant science. This educational event will be held on Wednesday, July 10th, at the MU Bradford Farm near Columbia, Missouri.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning experiences focused on common Missouri crops. The day will cover topics such as insect and disease identification, weed management, and pesticide safety. This program is designed to equip young people with valuable knowledge and skills to excel in agronomy and related fields.

"We are excited to offer this state-level opportunity in collaboration with our MU Extension colleagues," said Maria Calvert, MU Extension state 4-H agriculture educator. "This field day will address a growing need for youth development in agronomy and plant science."

Early registration is encouraged to secure a spot at the event. Registration details and fees will be available on 4-H Online from May 11th to June 10th.

Registration Information:

  • Early Bird (by June 10th): $12
  • Late Registration (June 11th-18th): $15
  • No registration accepted after June 18th

The program is open to both 4-H members and non-members. 4-H members can register using their existing profiles on 4-H Online. Non-members will need to create a free profile before registering.
