The University of Missouri Extension and Missouri 4-H are pleased to announce a Crops Field Day for youth interested in agriculture and plant science. This educational event will be held on Wednesday, July 10th, at the MU Bradford Farm near Columbia, Missouri.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning experiences focused on common Missouri crops. The day will cover topics such as insect and disease identification, weed management, and pesticide safety. This program is designed to equip young people with valuable knowledge and skills to excel in agronomy and related fields.
"We are excited to offer this state-level opportunity in collaboration with our MU Extension colleagues," said Maria Calvert, MU Extension state 4-H agriculture educator. "This field day will address a growing need for youth development in agronomy and plant science."
