According to the USDA's National Ag Statistics Service for Missouri:
Corn: Planted area is estimated at 3.65 million acres, up 6 percent from last year. Harvested area, forecast at 3.38 million acres, is up 3 percent from 2020. Based on November 1 conditions, the Missouri corn yield is forecast at 160 bushels per acre, down 11 bushels from 2020. Production is forecast at 541 million bushels, 4 percent below last year's production.
Soybeans: Planted area is estimated at 5.70 million acres, down 3 percent from last year. Harvested area, forecast at 5.65 million acres, is down 3 percent from 2020. Based on November 1 conditions, the Missouri soybean yield is forecast at 50 bushels per acre, down 1 bushel from 2020. Production is forecast at 282.5 million bushels, down 5 percent from 2020.
Cotton: Harvested area is forecast at 310,000 acres, up 8 percent from last year. Based on November 1 conditions, the Missouri cotton yield is forecast at 1,285 pounds per acre, up 141 pounds from last year. Production is forecast at 830,000 bales (480-pound), up 21 percent from last year.
Rice: Planted area, estimated at 199,000 acres, is down 13 percent from 2020. Harvested area is forecast at 194,000 acres, down 9 percent from last year. Based on November 1 conditions, the Missouri rice yield is forecast at a record 8,100 pounds per acre, up 850 pounds per acre from 2020. Production is forecast at 15.7 million cwt, up 1 percent from last year.
